A 40 year old Ethiopian woman makes a living cleaning the homes of rich people. Her 17 year old daughter Haile joins her after school. One afternoon the two of them find a microphone in the home they are cleaning. While playing with it and listening to the sound of their voices, things go wrong and Assegedu finds herself in a moral and economic dilemma that will decide her future and her relationship with her daughter.
